Looking for easy brown eyeshadow looks you can actually wear every day? In this post, I’m sharing 5 brown eyeshadow looks using the Natasha Denona Tan Palette*, from a soft everyday glow all the way to a night out glam look.
Natasha Denona recently sent me the Tan Palette in PR, and I was a little hesitant at first because I don’t LOVE super warm tones. But these are more warm-leaning neutrals than orange or red tones, so I really enjoyed using them. I’m a big eyeshadow girly, so a 15-shade palette like this is right up my alley. My Thoughts on the Natasha Denona Tan Palette
The Tan Palette has 15 warmer neutral shades with a mix of mattes and shimmers. Like her other palettes, the formula is really nice to work with, and it’s just so pretty to look at.
My Favorite Shades
- Dip: a beautiful dark brown. I love using it as an eyeshadow liner to smoke out my lash lines.
- Lazy: perfect for the inner corner. It’s light but not a stark white, more of a pretty cream shade.
- Soft Spot: the perfect transition shade to start a look with.
- The shimmers: I couldn’t pick just one! They’re so fun to mix up.
Anything I Didn’t Love?
Some of the shades have a little fallout, but it’s easy to work around. Just tap off your brush before applying, or swipe away any fallout after. I haven’t tried every single shade yet, but I’ve loved everything I’ve used so far.
How It Compares to Other Natasha Denona Palettes
I think it’s right up there with I Need a Nude, the Glam Palette, and one I’ve been loving lately, I Need a Cool. They’re all perfect for everyday looks, with just enough deeper shades to take things into a going-out look that’s still wearable.
Is the Tan Palette Worth It?
If you already have a neutral palette, you might not need another one, unless you love eyeshadow as much as I do! But if you’re looking for a new everyday palette and you love warmer-toned neutrals, I think this one is really pretty.
How to Recreate These 5 Brown Eyeshadow Looks
Each look matches a chapter in the video above, so you can follow along. I finished every look with mascara and two lash clusters in the outer corner.
Look 1: Everyday Glow
This is the look you all loved the most!
- Blend Paddle into the outer corner and outer half of the eye.
- With a flat brush, apply Celeste to the front half of the lid, bringing it up into the crease.
- Softly apply Glide along the upper lash line for a smoky liner effect.
- Add Glide to the outer corner again, placing it a little lower than Paddle, and blend the two together.
- Apply the Natasha Denona Macro Tech Liner in Brown* to the upper and lower waterlines and the inner corner.
- Smoke out the lower lash line with Dip, keeping it tight to the lashes. Do the same on the upper lash line, keeping it lower than Glide, and soften it with Glide.
- Finish with mascara and two lash clusters in the outer corner.
Look 2: Soft Shimmer
A shimmery lid with a little smoky wing.
- Apply Soft Spot all over the lid and blend it up above the crease.
- Apply Brook over the front two-thirds of the lid.
- Apply Serene lower on the lid, toward the front.
- Tightline the upper and lower lash lines with the brown liner, and add an inner corner.
- Line the upper lash line about halfway with Dip and add a little wing.
- Smoke out the lower lash line a bit with Glide, keeping it tight to the lashes.
- Finish with mascara and a couple of lash clusters in the outer corner.
Look 3: Night Out Glam
A deeper warm lid with a full winged liner.
- Apply Sandal all over the lid and blend it into and above the crease.
- Layer Toasted on top of Sandal and feather it upward.
- With a flat brush, add Lazy to the inner corner.
- Apply Dip to the outer corner.
- Draw on a winged liner with the brown liner, keeping it thinner toward the inner corner and thicker toward the outer corner.
- Use Dip to perfect the liner and smudge away any imperfections.
- Tightline the upper and lower lash lines with the liner, then smudge a little more Dip along the lower lash line.
- Finish with mascara and two lash clusters in the outer corner.
Look 4: Half Wing
A soft shimmer lid with a smoky half wing.
- Apply Soft Spot all over the lid and blend it up and out above the crease.
- Apply Celeste to the front half of the lid.
- With the brown liner, draw on a half wing and an inner corner wing, and tightline the upper lash line.
- Set and perfect the liner with Dip on a flat shader brush, making it a little smoky.
- Clean up your lines with concealer.
- Finish with mascara and two lash clusters in the outer corner.
Look 5: Quick and Easy
A two-tone shimmer lid with a soft smoky liner.
- Apply Soft Spot to the outer half of the lid and blend it up and out of the crease.
- Apply Villa to the front half of the lid, feathering it up above the crease.
- Add Burnt to the center of the lid, where the two shades meet.
- Line the upper lash line with Sandal and smoke it out like a liner.
- Tightline the upper and lower waterlines with the brown liner and add an inner corner wing.
- Softly smoke out the lower lash line with Sandal.
- Finish with mascara and two lash clusters in the outer corner.
My Tips for Using the Tan Palette
- Start with Soft Spot as your transition shade. It makes blending everything else easier.
- Use Dip as an eyeshadow liner or to set and perfect brown eyeliner and smoke out your lash lines.
- Tap off your brush before applying shimmers to cut down on fallout.
- Use a flat brush to place shimmers on the lid and Lazy in the inner corner.
- Clean up your liner with a little concealer for a sharp finish.

Final Thoughts
I was hesitant about a warmer palette, but the Tan Palette won me over. Soft Spot, Lazy and Dip have quickly become staples, and the shimmers are so fun to mix and match.
