Swatching the Milani Cosmetics Color Fetish Hydrating Lip Stains

I recently received the new Milani Cosmetics Color Fetish Hydrating Lip Stains in PR* and thought it would be fun to swatch all six shades. These apply like a gloss and stain the lips underneath. You can blot off the top gloss and reveal the tinted lip stain look underneath, which is what I did in the video above.

These stay put really well for me, but food, drinking, and just the wear and tear of the day can wear them off as the day goes on. However, I was able to remove them in between swatches with some cleansing balm, micellar water, and a face cloth with a little scrubbing. So they are not impossible to remove, just need a little elbow grease to do so. I wore shade 110 Mauve Mentality out the other day, and it stayed put really well for me, only fading a little bit towards the end of the night. It lasted through snacks, drinking water, dinner, and still looked really pretty.

The applicator on these was also really nice. It has a felt tip with a point for precise application. It’s also at a slight angle, which I really enjoyed as I felt I had a lot of control over the application.

I really enjoy the simplicity and comfort of a lip stain in the winter time here in New England. You can just apply it and forget about it, without having to touch up or reapply. Lip stains are also not as drying as many long-wearing lip formulas. These also have hydrating ingredients, as I read on the Milani Cosmetics website, which is awesome.

My two favorite shades are definitely 130 Rose Rising and 110 Mauve Mentality as they are very natural-looking. I love the other shades as well, but those two will be my go-tos for an everyday makeup look. You’ll have to let me know which shades are your favorites down below in the comments.
