I recently received the Too Faced Cosmetics new Kissing Jelly Lip Oil Gloss* in PR, which comes in a collection of 6 different scent options. I say scent instead of shade because the color of the product itself doesn’t have a ton of payoff—it’s really only a hint of tint with very little color.
The 6 juicy scents available are in Piña Colada, Sour Watermelon, Raspberry, Bubblegum, Grape Soda, and Sweet Cotton Candy with a price point of $22. The formula texture is a glossy lip oil formula that’s very comfy on the lips, with a light texture. Three out of the six shades do have some subtle glitters in them—nothing over the top and really wearable.
Some ingredient callouts listed on the Too Faced website include sunflower and jojoba seed oils, which are the hydrating ingredients. I love a formula like this in the wintertime, as I can really struggle with dry lips in the winter. These are really comfy on the lips but add a nice glossy shine without being super bold.
The component itself is pretty compact and has a large doe-foot applicator, which is really comfy to apply. As for the scents, each one has a different scent, basically corresponding with the name as to which you might like or not like—this would be personal preference.
My two personal favorites were Bubblegum and Watermelon. The only shade that I didn’t really enjoy was Sweet Cotton Candy, as I didn’t find blue to be the most flattering on me, and for some reason I’ve never liked cotton candy—so again, personal preference.
I decided to swatch all 6 in a video just so you could see any subtle color changes between shades and so I could give you my impressions of all the scents. You’ll have to let me know which shade/scent you’d pick in the comments. If you’re looking for more swatch content check out these Milani Cosmetics Color Fetish Hydrating Lip Stain Post.
