I recently received the new Em Cosmetics Saturn’s Return Divine Skies eyeshadow palette in PR and wanted to share my review. The palette is very compact and is about the size of the palm of your hand, containing 6 shades retailing for $42, which breaks down to about $7 per shade. The palette has a cool-toned color story made up of 3 shimmers and 3 mattes.
My first impressions of the palette: I really love the simplicity and compact design. The shape of the pans efficiently utilizes the space. Personally, I adore cool tones, and this palette offers a nice selection for both going-out looks and everyday wear. However, with only 6 shades, there isn’t a wide variety of styles. If you prefer warm tones, you might want to try another option, perhaps the Da Vinci palette. The shadows in this palette are pigmented but not overly saturated, allowing you to create soft looks effectively.
Today, I’ve created an easy-to-apply shimmery smokey eyeshadow look with a fun pop of silver on the upper lash line using the Em Cosmetics Silver Lining Gel Eyeliner.
For the lashes, I went for a simpler look and used a thin coat of the Pacifica Beauty Activist Volume Mascara. Then, I applied Velour Lashes in the style ‘Light and Fluffy,’ which I trimmed down and applied to the underside of my lashes.
