With the holidays fast approaching and all of the fun family gatherings and parties coming up, you might be in the need for some fun makeup inspiration. The holiday season is such a fun time to create glamorous holiday makeup looks using bold glittery shades and bright fun colors. Looking for fun holiday eyeshadow inspiration?
Today I’ve created an eyeshadow look that is fairly simple to recreate but features a bold green classic winged eyeliner. I used the Makeup by Mario Ethereal eyes palette for the eyeshadow portion. Which I purchased recently and have really been loving for everyday looks but it also has really pretty glittery shades included as well.
I used a gold shadow shade from the palette EE10 on the lid for today’s look, that is just so gorgeous and has such beautiful sparkle in the light. For the green eyeliner I used the Hard Candy Stroke of gorgeous liner in shade liquid money*. It has a brush tip applicator which is one of my favorites for drawing on winged eyeliner, it’s also available in a few other fun colors.
If bold green liner isn’t your thing, you could always just go with black liquid liner. This eyeshadow look would be great alone for a holiday makeup look paired with a bright red lip. Another color for the eyeliner that could be fun to add on for New Years is a pop of silver or gold liner, I just created a Smokey Eye look with a pop of silver eyeliner you can watch here.
Here are the products I used linked the only one not included is the H2 brush which is no longer sold any shader brush should work
To start this look I applied a couple dots of Pacifica Beauty concealer* and patted this evenly all over the lid with my finger. Once this is blended I’m going in lightly with shade EE1 and a Morphe V206 brush* to set the concealer in place.
Next step would be to take the Morphe V206 brush* and dip in to the shade EE5 from the Ethereal eyes palette and apply this onto the outer half of the lid. Then softly blending out the edges, I’ve included a Holiday Makeup tutorial Youtube video above with step-by-step tutorial with instructions on how to recreate this eye makeup look above.
To add depth I’m using a Moprhe v205 brush* and dipping into the shade EE9 and adding this lower onto the outer corner, blending this shade into the previous shade and crease. Adding a light dusting of this shade into the front crease as well to add just a bit of color.
Following this I’m applying both shades onto the lower lash line. Bringing shade EE5 2/3 of the way in, and shade EE9 on just the very outer corner.
For the fun part adding in the gold glittery shade I’m using shade EE10 with a Moprhe M1 brush* and applying that on the lid and feathering it upwards, into the crease and towards the outer corner.
For the inner corner I applied EE1 with the M1 brush* again and left the brow bone blank. Adding in the green eyeliner, I started with little feathering motions lining the front portion keeping the line thin and then gradually making the line thicker towards the outer corner. For the wing portion I followed the angle of my lower lash line upwards and the swooped the tip of the line inwards connecting with the liner.
With Urban Decay 24/7 inks liquid black liner shade zero* I added an inner corner wing, I have a blog post all about how I draw on an inner corner wing here.
For lashes I curled them with my Velour Lash curler*, followed by a coat of the Too Faced better than sex mascara waterproof*, I find my lashes hold a curl so much better when I use a water proof mascara. I then went in with some falsies in style delicate that I found on Amazon, which I trimmed down and applied to the underside of my lashes.
I think this is a perfect look for a holiday party as it’s very wearable and you could change the eyeliner to match your outfit. I also love this option for easy Christmas makeup looks, or you could really make this look unique by adding a green wing on one eye and a red wing on the other eye.
I do have another post featuring a brown Smokey Eye using the Makeup by Mario Palette that would also look lovely for the holidays, with a nude lipstick and could be worn as an everyday look.
