Fall is my absolute favorite season, especially here in New England. It’s not just the beautiful foliage; I also love the comfy warm fashion styles. You get to layer up with cozy clothes and add accessories that otherwise may be too warm for summer. I recently ordered a couple of new items for my fall wardrobe, and I couldn’t wait to share this cute fall outfit with you.
I found both the sweatshirt and skort on the Abercrombie and Fitch website, and I love how they pair so well together. The sweatshirt is incredibly soft, and the fit is perfect. I did tuck this one into the skort, but it was just the right amount of looseness for a casually put-together look. I’m 5’2 so sometimes Sweatshirts can be a little to baggy and long on me. The skort also fit perfectly, not too tight or too loose at the waist, allowing me to tuck in the sweatshirt.
I should mention that the pleats on the skirt might appear a bit more open on me because my glutes push it out a little in the back I noticed. I am often in between sizes, and didn’t want to size up because I wanted the skort to fit as closely to my waist as possible, ensuring it didn’t get lost in this look. Maybe once the skort gets a little softer with washing and more broken in with time they may relax a little.
For reference, I’m 5’2″ with 38″ hips. I ordered the sweatshirt in size XS and the skort in size XS as well. I’ll include a try-on video of the items in motion here from my unboxing for reference.
