Hello, I’m Ashley!
Hello, I’m Ashley!
AshleyKaylaMakeup is where I share wearable makeup looks, close-up tutorials, swatches, and the fun details.
I started sharing makeup on Instagram back in 2015, just as a hobby. Back then, I loved posting photos of whatever makeup I was into in the moment and the eyeshadow looks I was wearing. I’ve always had so much fun applying makeup and find it a great creative outlet. It’s also been really cool connecting with so many others who share the same interest.
My favorite content to create is close-up eye and lip content. The fine details are always my favorite blending, texture, and those finishing touches that really pull a look together. These days, I create wearable, everyday looks most of the time. Now that I’m in my 30s (and honestly a bit of a homebody), I don’t always go full glam, so I enjoy sharing looks that feel realistic and easy to wear day to day.
Swatches are also something I really love sharing. It drives me nuts when I have a look planned and I ruin it because a product color doesn’t look the way I expected once it’s actually on the skin. Swatching first makes such a difference, even just to get an idea of what colors really look like.
On AshleyKaylaMakeup.com, I share things like:
Step-by-step makeup tutorials
Eyeshadow & lip swatches
Favorite products and tips
Anything else I find fun
The blog is a newer outlet for me, but it’s become a place where I can really break looks out in a way that’s easy to follow. Social platforms don’t allow much space for text or longer explanations. Tutorials tend to be my most popular, and I love hearing how people incorporate the looks into their own routine.
Over the years, my audience has grown across platforms, and I now share content with a large beauty community. Brands do send me PR and I work with brands, but my focus has always stayed the same — sharing makeup in a way that feels simple, useful, and true to how I actually wear it.
Thanks so much for being here! I hope you find something helpful, inspiring, or fun while you’re visiting 🤍
