Looking for the perfect pink lip product for a great everyday look? Check out these 5 looks featuring both lipstick and gloss for inspiration.
Look One
For look number one, we have the MAC Cosmetics Luster Glass Sheer-Shine Lipstick in the shade 548 Beam There Done That. This shade is a rosy plum pink color that feels lightweight and soft on the lips. The formula is infused with raspberry seed and organic extra-virgin olive oil. It feels very lightweight on the lips and isn’t super pigmented, with a shiny finish.
I did find this buildable; you can see on my first couple of passes where I was mapping out the edges of my lips, it was a little more sheer. Then it got a bit more pigmented when I passed over again, so you can definitely choose your level of intensity. I really enjoyed the formula personally and found it very comfortable. This shade itself is also very wearable for an everyday look.
Look Two
Look number two is a beautiful berry wine-type shade, which I found to be a little pink on me personally, so I wanted to include it on this list. I do have a fair skin tone, so this may be why. Lipsticks will appear a little bit different on everyone’s lip color, skin tone, and undertones. There are some good swatch photos on the Maybelline Website.
This is the Maybelline SuperStay Ink Crayon Lipstick in the shade 60 Accept a Dare. It has a crayon-like applicator on the end that you can twist up for more product, giving a precise application on your lips for sharp edges. It also includes a sharpener on the backside of the component. It has a matte finish and stays put really well. It doesn’t dry down or have the same stay power as a liquid matte lipstick. I wouldn’t say it’s transfer proof but it stays put pretty well. I’ve really been loving matte lipsticks like this in a stick format; they seem to be less drying for me. This would also work great as a lip liner for an ombre lip look.
Look Three
For look three, I used a couple of products to create it. First, the Nova Beauty lip liner in the shade nude 02. I love these lip liners; they are super creamy and have a twist-up applicator and a blending brush on the opposite end.
For the lip gloss, I used Kaleidos Makeup 102 pink marquise lip glaze. This is like a gloss with really tiny pretty pearlescent-like shimmers. This shade has a cool pink undertone and is very comfy on the lips. This look is super simple to create and will pair well with so many makeup looks.
Look Four
In look four, I’m wearing the Buxom Full-on Plumping Lip Polish in the shade Gabby. It’s a gloss formula and is described as a rich plum brown shimmer; personally, I think it looked like a pink hue on me. Maybe because I applied a thinner coat? They have some more swatch photos on the Buxom website.
The shimmer in this is very subtle and pretty, I really love the look. It’s a plumping gloss, so it has that tingle sensation but isn’t super intense like some plumpers. I found the formula very comfortable on the lips and really liked the small applicator. The line comes in over 60 shades, so there are tons of color options to choose from if this one isn’t your cup of tea.
Look Five
Last but not least is a really fun glittery pink lip; this one is such a fun shade. Unfortunately, this is one of my older looks, so the products are no longer available. However, I still wanted to share it because I think it’s great inspiration and a really fun look. I did my best to find a couple of dupes that looked similar online, but please note these are not the same products I used.
In the original video, I used the ColourPop lip liner in the shade Oh My! which doesn’t seem to be available anymore. I found another shade that looks similar from their other lip pencils. This one is called Dopey from their Lippie Collection line; it’s described as a dusty mauve.
The original lipstick I used was the Givenchy 01 Sparkling Peony. For a close recommendation, I’ve actually tried this in another one of my swatch videos. It’s the Hard Candy Glitterati Crystal Lip Duo in shade Dream Queen. It’s like a nude pinkish color. I think the glitter lipstick side will give a similar look; you can see what I mean here in my other swatch video, just minus the gloss.
I love the look of glitter lipsticks and really need to find some new ones. I feel like there are a ton of glittery lip glosses right now, but I’d love more lipstick-like formulas.
You’ll have to let me know which pink lipstick look was your favorite down below in the comments. Do you have any pink lipstick shades that you are currently loving? I also have a post with some red lipstick inspiration here to check out. Pink and red are both perfect colors for Valentine’s day coming up!
