Home » 2 Eyeshadow Tutorials w/ Patrick Ta Major Dimension III
I recently purchased a few eyeshadow palettes from Sephora and have been trying all of them out for the first time by creating two looks with each palette. One of the other palettes I already tested and reviewed is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Fall Romance palette. Check out that post here. Today’s palette is the Patrick Ta Major Dimension III palette, which contains 12 shades, made up of 10 matte shadows, and 2 cream shadow formulas. This is a matte eyeshadow palette made up of a very simple color story, containing mostly browns and nudes. I’d consider myself new to the Patrick Ta Beauty line of products as I’ve only ever tried the She Must be New lipstick, which is one of my favorites for fall.
Anyway, I was super excited to try out this palette, although it does look like a simple color story. I really like having palettes like this on hand for everyday looks that I can grab for a fast application. It’s nice starting looks out with browns and then adding a fun pop of color or shimmer to the lid. It contains a nice range of lighter shades and darker shades, so a little bit of both, and they all applied beautifully on the eyes.
I loved how they blended out, but noticed they were a little powdery when I went to tap off the excess product off my brush, but I didn’t notice much fallout under my eyes. The palette has one row of cool-tone shades and one row of warm-tone shades, and of course, the two cream shadows. I haven’t had a chance to try these two out. They would make great creamy base shades for a smokey eye look. Or I’m sure they’d be great as a base on the lash line for a smokey liner type look.
This palette is on the pricey side, but I will be reaching for this palette frequently because these simple colors are great for so many looks. I could picture this palette being great for professional makeup artists who do a lot of bridal work as the nude hues in the palette really make me think of wedding makeup.
Today I created two eyeshadow looks with this Patrick Ta Palette, one eye using the cool-tone row, creating a cut crease style look, and one eye using the warm-tone row, creating a halo eyeshadow look. I really love how both looks came out and how the shadows performed overall. I’ve also created a YouTube real-time tutorial at the top of this post, and you can see how quickly the shadows blended on the eyes.
